Friends,

Today was magical. My step mom works with this phenomenal conservation/therapy group called Wolf Connection. They rescue and house domesticated and non-domesticated wolves of all kinds. Some are hybrids, (mixture of dog and wolf) others are the last of their kind. They not only provide them a safe haven, but use them in therapy with all age groups. They offer guided therapy sessions using the frequency of nature and the animals to aid each individual on their journey to peace and healing.

Being surrounded by these beautiful creatures, I was able to witness and learn about the true phenomenon of their species. Wolves are pack animals, much like people. If they are cast out of their pack, they become a lone wolf, making them vulnerable to other much more powerful apex predators. We, as people, surround ourselves with family and friends that become our pack. The ones that are supposed to uplift us and protect us. That's how it should be, but unfortunately the packs humans form are much more fragile than that of the wolves. The reason why, I believe, is due to emotion. In my opinion, animals experience different emotions from humans. They aren't led by their emotions nor do they process them as we do. Instinct and survival are what create that unspoken bond among them.

Wolf Connection and the amazing team that represent the brand are working hard towards raising money to enable them to build more spacious and suited habitats for the wolves. This will allow them more room to exercise, feed, and play with one another. I would encourage all who are interested to look into helping them out!

You can most certainly volunteer! You must be 23 years of age or older to do so, but your volunteer work could potentially lead to a lifelong career. Young children are the people they work with the most. Troubled youth seem to bloom and become open to growth and connection when they interact with the wolves. They also do company retreats. I will include their website and where they are located down below. I hope that you will be able to experience the surreal elegance of these wolves as I did.
